Working without and beyond walls

Philip Tidd, Managing Director, DEGW presented Working Without and Beyond Walls at the Worktech Public Sector Workplace Symposium on Monday, 18 January 2010.

His presentation looked the themes highlighted in the joint publications of DEGW and OGC; Working Without Walls (2004) and Working Beyond Walls (2008); which include challenges faced by the public sector and the series of measures that they have taken to adapt to these challenges, such as distributed working and innovative workplace designs.

He draws upon examples from case studies such as the Department for Children, Schools and Families and the Ministry of Justice, to demonstrate how these organisations have successfully adopted new and innovative ways of working in their workplace, and the organisational benefits they have achieved by doing so.
