Development of an 'Office Village'

In 1998, DEGW won an international competition to design Apicorp's headquarters in Saudi Arabia.

Our design concept was to create an office-village that shelters all Apicorp's departments underneath a single roof. As well as a conceptual cover, the barrel vaulted roof acts as an environmental buffer that modulates sunlight and protects against the intense heat of the Saudi climate.

Using the latest technology and integrated systems, the space within the building is truly flexible. Services are placed outside the main body of the building to create huge areas within that can adapt to the changing needs of the business.
