A European centre for Capital One

The American banking and marketing organisation, Capital One, wanted to develop a European HQ that accommodates finance, training and call centre, under one roof. A former industrial building in Nottingham was selected for conversion.

DEGW provided a range of services including space planning, interior design and furniture consultancy. As with all call centre facilities, staff retention and motivation are key to success. In our design, we focused on providing a stimulating, comfortable and high quality environment that would support people doing high-pressure work. Because of the scale of the building, we conceptualised the interior space as a townscape, using landmarks to break up large expanses, humanising the area.
